Virginia Governor, the Honorable Timothy M. Kaine was the keynote speaker at the event. Ms. Patel was nominated to NMSDC's Entrepreneur of the Year Award (National Minority Suppliers Development Council). April 2006: Shanta Patel was interviewed by Gemini Effect at a NAWBO event (National Association of Women Business Owners) in front of a live audience. March 2006: Shanta Patel was featured in the Feb/March 2006 issue of Diversity Careers in Engineers and Technology. January 2006: Shanta Patel was confirmed as a Board Member on the VMSDC Board of Directors. She was also confirmed as a member of Cardinal Bank’s Government Contracting Advisory Board. Also in January, Ms. Patel was interviewed on the television program, Image-In-Asian, and interviewed for an article in the Fairfax County Times Community of Newspapers.
